Wilmington Delaware Elopement - Mehreen and Jahin

We captured these adventurous bridal portraits after Mehreen and Jahin's wedding ceremony, and it was so obvious the love and excitement they had to start their forever together. Days like these are what it is all about. Let me start by saying adventure sessions are my jam, and if you are a couple who likes hiking, frolicking, being outdoors, or just having fun, you should definitely consider one.

Like many couples, their plans were changed in 2020, and they couldn't have the traditional wedding that they had planned. When they reached out about their bridal portraits, Mehreen and Jahin wanted a scenic and adventurous location with a variety, so we chose Brandywine Park in Wilmingtion, DE.

Brandywine is one of my favorite parks in Wilmington, and perfect if you are looking for a variety of scenery. It is small enough that you can cover enough ground in a short period of time, but large enough that you can feel as though you have travelled to multiple locations and adds dimension to your photos.

We met up after their ceremony and chose several locations around the park to add some depth and scenery to their gallery. I scouted the park ahead of time so that we would be able to photograph in the different locations within our time together, and still have plenty of time for them to leave around sunset to make it to an intimate family dinner. It turned out to be the most perfect day between the two of them with a golden sunset to end it the right way.

You might not expect Delaware for elopements or adventurous elopements, but there are so many gems and surprises speckled about the state. Not to mention we are close to many great spots in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and even Virginia and Washington, DC.
