Shop Small Christmas Gift Ideas

Ready to spread holiday cheer?! This is seriously one of my favorite time of year, and I love to pick out gifts that are meaningful, but also have an awesome back story. Gifts that were created with love, and that bring a smile and a happy dance to an entrepreneur or a small business owner. I also love the idea of knowing who made the gift, and that they are someone just like me with a dream.

So let's get to it!

1. Shop local stores, boutiques, etc. Does your friend love accessories? Look up boutiques in your town and see what they have to offer. Does your man have a beard? Find a local barber and shop their hair care products. Does someone in your circle love chocolate or sweets? Find a local chocolate or candy shop, or a local baker. If you are in the norther Delaware or Southeast PA areas, Desserts by Dana and Neuchatel Chocolates are awesome!

Find small businesses who sell the items you are looking for online or nearby, and skip the Amazon's and Walmart's of the world.

2. Buy prints and frame them for someone. Have a family member who loves to decorate their home or loves to travel? This is perfect for them. Did you know that most photographers also sell prints or wall art of their nature or travel photography?

I have a shop that you can find here

I also have a home decor print shop here

Have a favorite photographer? Check their website or Instagram, or reach out to them to see if they offer prints. A couple of my favorites are The Hearnes and Trev Lee

3. Give gift certificates to local restaurants, spas, boutiques, etc. Restaurant and spa gift certificates are especially great for your couple friends to use for a date night.

4. Have a coffee or tea lover in your circle? Give gift certificates to a local coffee shop, or buy coffee or tea memorabilia from a local shop for those people. I promise I will never say no to some fresh beans from a local shop, and I always ask my family for my favorite coffee beans from my hometown.

5. For your friends and family who cook: Buy a cookbook from a local book store. There are also some small book shops who sell and ship online. House Autry is great for sauces and seasonings. I discovered them in a small town grocery store in Florida, and now I order from their website all the time. I loooove their Buffalo Wing Sauce, just so ya know. Buy a cooking class or lesson for them from a local chef.

6. Gift a photo session. This is great for your friends and relatives who are couples, or who have a family. It's also great if anyone in your circle has a business of their own and would love branding photos and headshots.

Almost everything that you are looking for can be found in a small and often local business. Etsy is another great place to find most items made by a small business, and it brings those owner's holiday cheer as well. Happy shopping!
