Cute holiday gift wrapping that will blow everyone away

I love aesthetics, it just makes me feel good. Ya get me? So colorful, shiny wrapping paper with a big plastic ribbon bow is not my jam. I am not a stellar wrapper of gifts, so I needed something that could make it look like I knew what I was doing. Fake it 'til ya make it, and all that jazz.

A couple of years ago I bought a roll of brown painter's paper from a hardware store, and it transformed my gift wrapping. Plus that roll has lasted me three years of holiday gift giving, and will last at least one more. Talk about a bargain! I've since found that you can buy kraft or construction paper in different colors, and have added an elegant black variation to the mix. I'm sharing a couple ways that I dress up the wrapping, and linking all the supplies below. Super affordable, and everyone will be super impressed with your holiday wrapping!

1.On my brown paper packages, I love using twine or string. Two years ago, I found these two-toned spools of string in Target's WonderShop that they still sell today!

2. On the black paper, I used black velvet ribbon to tie up the packages. I also have a green velvet option that adds a little more color and festivity, but I love the elegance of the black ribbon on black wrapping paper.

3.I also love to add little trinkets to the wrapping in the pictures, I used pieces of pine floral stems and plastic miniature Christmas ornaments. The floral stems were bought at a craft store, and the ornaments also came from Target

  1. Floral stem option - These can also be found at any craft store. You will need to break/cut little pieces off to tuck between the ribbons on your gifts

  2. Mini ornaments - Target may also have in store, but I couldn't find them online

  3. Jingle bells

  4. Pinecones

Another fun idea is a pink craft paper with pink velvet ribbon and white and/or silver ornaments, or any color scheme that suits you. I hope you have fun spreading a little extra aesthetic holiday cheer this year!
